The Andhra Pradesh Police is the law enforcement agency for the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. AP Police comes under direct control of the Department of Home Affairs, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh State Level Police Recruitment Board came into existence with effect from 10th September 1985, headed in the rank of Inspector General of Police and designated as Chairman.

State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), (SLPRB) plans and implements effective recruitment procedures and makes timely recruitments of all the direct recruitment of non–gazetted posts in the Police Department. It includes the posts of:

  • Station Fire Officers & Firemen in the A.P. Fire & Emergency Services Department;
  • Sub-Inspectors & Constables in Special Protection Force,
  • Deputy Jailor,
  • Asst. Matron & Warder (Male/Female) in the Prisons Department.
  • It also includes the posts of Addl. Public Prosecutors, Grade-II & Asst. Public Prosecutors in A.P. State Prosecution Services.

Must possess Industrial Training Institutional Certificate in Electronic Mechanic

OR

Should possess Industrial Training Institutional Certificate in Information Technology and Electronic System Maintenance

OR

May possess Industrial Training Institutional Certificate in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant

OR

Must possess Industrial Training Institutional Certificate in Mechanic Consumer Electronics / Electrician

  • Selection Process :

The Selection Procedure / Scheme of the Examination will be as follows:

1) Preliminary Selection Test

No Preliminary Selection Test will be conducted for the above Post. After registration of their Online Application, candidates have to report for verification of certificates and Physical Measurements Test which will be mentioned in the Hall Tickets. This will be conducted at Vijayawada/ Guntur.

After registration of the Online Application, candidates have to report for the verification of certificates & Physical Measurements Test which will be mentioned in the Hall Tickets of the candidates.

Verification and PMT test is at Vijayawada / Guntur.

2) Physical Measurements Test (PMT)

The Physical Standards are mentioned in the official notification. Candidates who meet the required standards will only be declared as qualified.

3) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

All candidates who are declared qualified will be required to attend a 1600 Meters run ( 1-Mile Run ) which is qualifying.

Male candidates must complete the run in 10 Minutes or lesser time.

Women candidate must complete the run in 12 Minutes 30 Seconds or lesser time.

4) Final Written Examination:

Candidates who qualify in the above Physical Measurements Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET) shall be required to appear for a written examination in one paper of three hours duration as given below.

Rs. 150/- for the SC / ST candidates
